General Laborer
Responsibilities
Painting and packaging hydraulic cylinders Shipping and receiving hydraulic cylinders, rods, and parts Delivery and parts pick up Shop clean up and maintenance Operate forklift, pallet jack, and overhead cranes Slinging and rigging heavy pieces
Qualifications
Driver’s license and valid passport required Comfortable driving a 20′ flat deck truck Experience with ISO:9001 an asset Forklift license an asset
Opportunity to advance to hydraulic technician, chrome/polisher, welder, or machinist.
Machinist
Responsibilities
Read and use mechanical component and assembly prints Apply the principles of metal cutting to work pieces and cutting tools Calculate dimensions and tolerances, and prepare working sketches from samples if necessary Set up, operate, and maintain manual machine shop equipment
Qualifications
Ticketed journeyman machinist Experience working in a job shop Welding experience an asset Experience with ISO:9001 an asset
Hydraulic Technician
Responsibilities
Uphold Select Fluid Power’s safety standards Dismantle and inspect hydraulic cylinders Diagnose and recommend required repairs Identify and measure seals Operate hone, hydraulic test bench, overhead cranes, and micrometers Execute and complete repairs Maintain accurate records
Qualifications
Driver’s license 3-5 years of relevant experience Experience with ISO:9001 an asset Forklift license an asset
Chromer/Polisher
Responsibilities
Handle and work safely with chemicals Operate industrial polisher and grinder Grind within tight tolerances Polish to required finishes Assist in maintaining porous pot purification technology Prepare parts for the plating process Operate plating equipment Measuring plating thickness Strip and organize tooling as required Carry out plating assignments to the highest level of quality Maintain a clean, safe work environment to include proper handling and segregation of solid waste
Qualifications
3+ years of related work experience in an electroplating facility High school diploma Some computer understanding (automated control system) Ability to operate overhead cranes Commitment to safety and the use of proper PPE Valid driver’s license
