Complete Repairs from Start to Finish
We offer a complete line of services for hydraulic cylinders of all shapes and sizes! The following is a detailed list of every service and our capacities for each.
Dismantling, Inspecting, and Repairing: After dismantling, we inspect your cylinder barrel and piston for any damage. Our technicians repair hydraulic cylinders up to 16 tons in weight, 24″ in diameter, and 50′ in length. Every cylinder will go through our complete repair process. This will help to have it back up to specifications as soon as possible.
Rebuilding: Our technicians will replace or rebuild any part of the cylinder that is not within specifications. We’ll also replace all hydraulic seals on the cylinders to ensure leak free operation.
Honing: We can hone the inside of your cylinders up to 45′ in length and 24″ in bore to ensure a defect-free surface for effective sealing.
Grinding: We grind hydraulic cylinder rods on a machine capable of 14′ between centers, up to 5,000 lbs, and a swing of 25″. If your cylinder needs precision grinding, we have a machine that can perform exact tolerance grinding to half a thousandth of an inch.
Chroming: Select Fluid Power has the capacity to chrome your cylinders up to 50′ in length and 4′ in diameter. With 6 chroming tanks in total, we have the largest chroming capacity in the Pacific Northwest!
Polishing: We offer polishing services on rods up to 50′ in length, 30″ in diameter and 6,000 lbs capacity. This process is to ensure your cylinder is free from any rough surfaces that might affect functionality and durability.
Testing: At Select Fluid Power, we believe testing is a crucial part of any repair. Our 5,000 psi testing bench enables us to recreate the working environment for any cylinder. Prior to re-installation, we test your cylinder for leaks to ensure it’s ready to be put back to work.
